Ben and I were going to do a talk sometime on XaraLX. It's a superb vector graphics application which has been ported to Linux/WxWidgets and almost, but not quite, completely GPL'd. As a result of the 'not quite' bit, the Linux version is in the doldrums. I've been using it (and it's predecessor on the Acorn Platform) since the early 1990s. Ben has done some work on getting it to run on the Mac and PPC architecture. There's a tentative plan afoot to replace the non-GPL core rendering engine with Cairo which might ressurect the project.
Possibly for June meeting. Can be done for the September meeting or later.
